Replacement of Conventional 5 Gallon Water Bottles & Packaged Water with Energy Efficient Stand Alone BottleLess Coolers

The water cooler pictured on the left is the standard 5 gallon water cooler found in offices, homes and break rooms in offices and manufacturing plants. Packaged bottled water is also shown.
Approximately 80% of all 5 Gallon bottled water and packaged water sold nationally is made by treating Municipal City Water with the Reverse Osmosis Process . This process is shown below.

The 5 gallon bottled water and packaged water are very energy inefficient( Have a large carbon footprint ! ). The Energy Path for 5 gallon bottled water from the source to the customer is shown on the right.

For the last several years , Standalone Purified Coolers have been available to replace the conventional coolers. These coolers employ the same Reverse Osmosis process for purification of it's water as do the bottlers of 5 gallon bottled water and 1/2 liter packaged water.(Aquafina , Highbridge, etc).
